Appointment of Authorised Officers in ________________ Council – under Regulation 8 of the European Union (Construction Products) Regulations 2025
S.I. No. 669/2025 - European Union (Construction Products) Regulations 2025 gives effect to Regulation EU 2019/1020 MSR and Regulation EU No 2024/3110 and Regulation EU No. 305/2011 (parts of which will be coexisting (continue to be in effect until 2040)); for the marketing of construction products in the single market for the purpose of Product Areas 1-35 set out in ANNEX IV of Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011, and Product Families 1-36 set out in ANNEX VII of Regulation (EU) 2024/3110.
In the context of Regulation 36 of S.I. No. 669 of 2025, where ongoing market surveillance or investigation has been initiated prior to 8 January 2026, building control authorities should maintain the appointment of authorised officers under S.I. No. 225 of 2013 until matters are concluded.
